Aaahh~!! I just finished playing this game and all I can say is I love it to pieces!!! ♥♥♥ I'm glad I picked this one up even though it's dated (*/////* )
Hotel Dusk: Room 215 (or ウィッシュルーム 天使の記憶 / Wish Room: Angel's Memory) is a mystery adventure-novel game, it's like you're reading a book and can interact with it -- the game environment and objects -- by touch&click. The items you find can be used in solving puzzles that will trigger certain scenarios; and talking to other charas, asking them certain questions, and picking certain answers for the main chara will also decide the outcome of the game, so one wrong question or answer could give you a game over. //good thing I listened to my inner detective instinct XDD//

The Story:
The main setting is the fictional Hotel Dusk, a small, somewhat rundown hotel located in the southwestern United States near Los Angeles, California during the year 1979. The protagonist is Kyle Hyde, a former member of the New York Police Department searching for his old partner, Brian Bradley. During his stay at the hotel, Kyle unravels a mystery shrouded in the hotel's past that may lead him to the answers he's looking for.
The game starts up a bit slow but once you get used to the touch&click game control and when the mystery starts it definitely gets you sticking around to know more. One just has to be patient enough to read through the exchange of dialogues to get to the exciting part. The interrogation parts of the game is one of my favorite (it reminded me of Gyakuten Saiban ;DD) in which your attention, memory, & detective instinct will be put to the test XDD
The main chara Kyle Hyde, an ex-police detective now working as a salesman, seems very crude but is actually a chivalrous kindhearted man who accidentally gets tangled up in everyone's(the people in the hotel) ' business' & helps them solve it for their own good; and as he gets more tangled deeper the more he gets to find out the real story about his ex-partner Bradley. //I like Kyle uber much ♥ & Bradly too~///// The other charas are interesting too with unique background that will get you surprised.Their dialogues are fun to read as well ;DD
Bar Fun XDD |
Also the hidden mysteries got me uber surprised up to the end. This game's story has been written very well, and it was uber worth playing in my pov, I can't wait to get my hands on the sequel which is called Last Window: The Secret of Cape West (*////////* ) //Me can't get enough of this game & Kyle ♥♥♥//
And finally my BLinstincts noticed...
//Warning: cracked BLanalysis beyond! proceed with discretion!!//
that Kyle &
Brian had a very deep relationship (*//u///*!!) I got tingly when Kyle kept saying "Bradley" in most of the sentences he said, and "Bradley" also in his thoughts X//33 & uber DOKINN!! when I found the the truth of Bradley in the end ♥(//////////// )
I definitely agree with Kyle about Bradley :spoiler:being alive somewhere:spoiler: and I wish for them to :spoiler:meet each other and get together again someday:spoiler: *sigh~♥*
"The taste of gin and vermouth lingers on my lips. The only kiss I've known in years... And then I hear Bradley's voice in my head." |
